INPACS becomes Participant at the United Nations Global Compact

An integral part of the group-wide INPACS Sustainability Strategy is the realization of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 17 “Partnerships for the Goals”. Here, the core action is to build an active partnership program with the United Nations in order to learn, engage and facilitate impact when pursuing the SDG’s on a global scale. In this course, we are proud to announce that INPACS has recently joined the United Nations Global Compact as a global participant.

The United Nations Global Compact is a strategic initiative for companies committed to align their business activities and strategies with ten universally recognized principles in the areas of human rights, labour standards, environmental protection and the fight against corruption. The Ten Principles are derived from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Labour Organization’s Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, the Rio Declaration on Environment and Development as well as the United Nations Convention Against Corruption.

The INPACS head office will publish a yearly Communication on Progress report and thereby transparently inform about how it is making these principles part of the network’s strategy, culture and day-to-day operations. On national level, the INPACS members Magris and igefa are already participating in the UN Global Compact initiative. With this global participation, INPACS as an international network is now pushing to fulfil the expectations of its worldwide shareholders, members, employees, customers and the society to manage its business responsibly. As a “participant”, INPACS will be actively engaged with the UN Global Compact, including access to practical guidance and tools for achieving the INPACS sustainability objectives as well as invitations to high-level convenings and policy dialogues. INPACS will engage for sharing new insights and learnings with you.
