INPACS invited by Essity to UN event in Geneva

On 26th June INPACS joined Essity in Geneva for a unique program together with United Nations Foundation (UNF) and Water Supply & Sanitation Collaborative Council (WSSCC) in support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) and the road forward.

The SDGs are a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity. These 17 Global Goals work in the spirit of partnership and pragmatism to make the right choices now to improve life, in a sustainable way, for future generations.

Essity and WSSCC partnered in the mission to encourage a global conversation about hygiene and health issues as well as opportunities across organisations, sectors and countries. The cooperation consists of combining and reporting research findings with respect to hygiene and health standards in order to inspire and invite more actors into the dialogue for progress.

Next to INPACS, represented by Davide Magris, Chairman of the Board, and Julia Del Pino, Sustainability Officer,  further global customers of Essity took part in the event, between others a contract caterer, an international distributor for office supplies and a Russian food supplier.

“The intense discussions during the event raised our awareness on Corporate Social Responsibilities of business companies far beyond the scope of the company itself”, said Julia after the event. And Davide Magris added “This event has been very inspiring and a new stimulus to INPACS’ commitment towards sustainability. We should include the SDGs in our strategic planning to help achieve the Global Societal Goals".
