Member Spotlight: igefa and WEBSTAR. Turning Climate Ambition into Action
What are Science-Based targets?
When companies set climate targets, an important question is: How can we ensure that these targets are ambitious, credible, and aligned with climate science?
This is where the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) comes in. The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) provides companies with a globally recognized framework to set greenhouse gas reduction targets that are in line with the goals of the Paris Agreement.
We are proud to see members across the INPACS network taking this step. Both WEBSTAR (Switzerland) and igefa SE (Germany, Austria, Poland and the Netherlands) have committed to science-based targets through the SBTi, demonstrating their commitment to climate action and emissions reduction.
Achieving SBTi validation is a significant undertaking that often requires months of data collection, emissions analysis, target development, and cross-functional collaboration. We congratulate the teams at WEBSTAR and igefa on this achievement.
