    ingreen Report - a sustainability analysis of the customers procurement behaviour

    ingreen is our consulting service to help customers improve sustainability in their procurement. We analyze their purchasing behavior based on defined sustainability criteria to identify optimization potential. The customer then receives a report highlighting key areas for improvement, along with concrete recommendations for action. Our goal is to provide practical, long-term solutions for more sustainable procurement.

    ingreen management report was nominated by the German Sustainability Award for the Product Award 2025 in the transformation field “Value Chain”.

    1. Product Analysis

    In this section, we analyze the sustainability performance of the customer’s purchased products. This includes assessing products with sustainability labels and those identified as „Ingreen Choice“ – INPACS‘ sustainable product portfolio, which is based on third-party verified information.

     

    Additionally the CO2 emissions on product level, the packaging weight and the contribution to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals are analysed.
    The product characteristics are analysed based on scientific research to address key sustainability challenges in each product category. We focus on high-impact areas to provide the most effective recommendations. These recommendations consider the entire product life cycle.

    2. Processes Analysis

    This part of the report particularly focuses on transport emissions and process costs. The potential for saving process costs is presented based on the ordering and invoicing behavior and the work involved in receiving goods. On this basis, practical tips are provided for optimizing processes with measurable impact. We analyze how delivery frequency affects CO2 emissions and calculate the potential savings for each customer.

    3. Supply Chain Analysis

    This analysis provides the customer with valuable insight into its value chain by evaluating the corporate social responsibility (CSR) performance of the manufacturers behind the purchased products. It takes key sustainability aspects, such as ethical sourcing practices, environmental impact, and compliance with recognized sustainability standards, into account. This transparency enables more informed decision-making and supports the customer in aligning its purchasing strategy with sustainability goals.

    For each of the three report sections, the methodology is explained transparently, and additional background information is provided to the customer. The service also includes consulting sessions based on a project plan to actively support customers to implement the identified improvements effectively.
