igefa grabs gold for the 3. time

The way igefa Germany takes on responsibility for humans and the environment is of golden value. That’s the result of a sophisticated test process by EcoVadis.

igefa’s CSR engagement was awarded with a gold medal for the third time in a raw. Despite increased requirements igefa could maintain the previous year’s result and belongs therewith also in 2020 to the best two percent of all 50,000 companies evaluated by EcoVadis.

„We are very proud of this renewed award because, especially as a network group, sustainability management often faces complex challenges. Of course, the result also encourages us to maintain the level since the demands are increasing. Furthermore, the evaluations regularly provide us with objective feedback and impulses which we can incorporate into our processes and considerations, so that we constantly develop further“, says Julia Del Pino, Chairwoman of the igefa Sustainability Council.

On the basis of a questionnaire adapted to function and size of a company and proving documents, EcoVadis evaluates the engagement of a company regarding environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.
