News from Prisma
Sustainable development has been part of Orbis’ member Prisma’s organizational actions for several years. They have developed and integrated principles of Quality, Environment and Prevention of Occupational Risks through the application of modern tools and methodologies, such as management systems based on ISO international standards, strategic growth planning, technological advances, and have contributed through the calculation and reduction of their carbon footprint.
In August 2020, Prisma acquired the commitment to the ten principles of the United Nations Global Compact, periodically preparing the Progress report where they collect their progress in achieving the principles.
Prisma is working to align all its efforts in sustainable development, based on sustainable economic growth, social inclusion, and environmental protection, taking a series of measures to meet the sustainable development goals to which they have committed.
In 2020, in the same way, and in compliance with Prisma’s commitment to SDG12, they began registering the company’s Carbon Footprint in order to analyze its impact on Climate Change and, based on this initial diagnosis, began to develop minimization initiatives. A 50% reduction in CO2 emissions from its vehicle fleet has already been implemented.
In this way, Prisma got ISO 14064 certified for the first time, a standard that has allowed Prisma to develop a Management System for the measurement and reduction of the carbon footprint.
„Our Global Network of Family-Owned Businesses, as an essential part of the communities we operate in, are committed to our Strategic Goals of Sustainability. The efforts and investments of PRISMA are simply an example of our members in their different geographies and we as INPACS are proud of each single one“, José Del Pino, CEO of INPACS.
